Future Champions at the National Business Awards 2013
We’re delighted to report that all our hard work’s been recognised at the prestigious National Business Awards ceremony at that there London last night. Not only was it a special occasion because Chief Webmarteer Simon and Deputy Chief Paul both donned tuxes and bow ties (even had polished shoes by jingo), but after a splendid opening keynote by the ever-authentic and refreshingly realistic Sir Bob (Geldof) and video address by someone called Cameron, a spectacular Dermot Murnaghan-based evening got under way.
Of course, we had to wade through all the lesser categories such as Leadership Diversity award and FTSE Business of the Year (whatever that is) before we got to the real meat on the bones with the Croner Employer of the Year award. And we’re chuffed to announce that we beat the likes of FedEx Express and LV to be named as Future Champion.
As the National Business Awards press release puts it:
Judges recognised Webmart as a Future Champion in this category for its people-centric business model combining philanthropy and talent development. They have tipped Webmart for future success for their high standards of customer service.
Thanks very much; we’ll take that. Here’s the full press release for those of you who like to have a nosey at such things.
