Awards seem to be coming thick and fast for WEBMART. Not only has it notched up the coveted 2008 ECMOD “Supplier of the Year” award and reached the prestigious 2009 European Business Awards finals, but it is also one of four finalists for the “Best Use of Technology” at the imminent Fast Growth Business Awards, sponsored by T-Mobile.
WEBMART is famous for its home-grown technology base. “We live and breathe IT, “ says MD Simon Biltcliffe. “It’s one of the things that sets us apart from other print managers. It means we can offer our customers and suppliers the best deals in the marketplace.”
“We’re delighted that FGBA have recognised our world-beating IT. Coupled with WEBMART’s hallmarks of personal service, high quality and keen prices, our IT systems, we believe, lead the way,” says Simon. “We’ve spent a lot of our own money to get the leading position we have, but it has all been worthwhile.”
Amongst the WEBMART family of programs, FGBA judges were impressed by customers placing orders direct through FreePrintManagement.com and printers offering their services at no cost to themselves through FreePrintSales.com. “We still give the personal touch at all times, however,” says Simon. “Automation of print sales and production releases the time for us to listen carefully to all of our customers.”
WEBMART South works out of its fresh yellow base in Bicester. This is complemented by WEBMART North in the new Digital Media Centre in Barnsley and WEBMART Scotland in East Kilbride’s Scottish Enterprise Technology Park. There are firm plans for further offices. Yellow is the colour of Simon’s T-shirt – and everything else WEBMART. He’s looking forward, however, to getting his more sober dinner suit out again for the Awards Ceremony on 18 March.
