Sheet Fed Lithographic Printing
Sheet fed lithographic (or litho) refers to lithographic printing where the paper is fed into the press as cut-sheets, as opposed to web presses where the paper is fed into the press as a continuous single sheet, which is then cut to size after printing. Sheet fed litho presses are very flexible and suitable for a wide variety of printed formats. They can print on a wider range of materials than web offset including plastics and cards/boards.
Sheet fed is particularly appropriate for smaller and medium runs of brochures, magazines, letterheads, booklets and fliers, where the setup costs of a web press wouldn't be cost-effective.
