From its beginnings, Webmart made a strategic decision to develop its IT systems in-house. We saw this development as a significant source of competitive advantage because there were no other systems available that encompassed the breadth of activity carried out in specifying, sourcing, procuring and managing printing services.
Webmart invested around 295 man-years into developing its internal software. Wherever we found a process that could be streamlined or, better still, automated, we did so through software development.
In 2009, Webmart took the decision to establish a software services business, Webmart Software Services.
Webmart Software Services provides an alternative to print procurement outsourcing for organisations who wish to improve their in-house print buying and management processes.
