We are delighted to announce that Webmart has appointed Helen Greener as our Finance and Sustainability Director

Helen, who is one of our longest standing Webmarteers, started her new role earlier this month.

Stepping up from her role as Webmart’s Finance Manager, her new role reflects Helen’s incredible efforts in the past year in supporting Webmart’s ongoing and future goals, as well as the difficulties posed by the Pandemic.

As our MD Rich says, “Helen has done a fantastic job in supporting the business during a hugely challenging year. She has helped oversee job and talent retention, financial security and backing the future goals of Webmart. Alongside this, she managed and oversaw 7-day payment terms for our suppliers and fielded the challenges posed by furlough.

“Helen will continue to play a crucial role in managing Webmart’s financials in a leadership capacity. We are excited to see her role evolve into managing and driving Webmart’s growing environmental ecosystem, which includes ongoing projects like the re-wilding of our 166-acre Oxygen Farm, alongside some very exciting projects coming up in the near future.”

Along with our environmental plans, Helen’s role will also involve looking after our social and charitable efforts, in line with our ethos of doing good and being good. This includes managing our events like our Flash Give we ran a few weeks ago.

As Rich says, “Her role will manage the balancing act between looking after people, profit and planet.”

Starting at Webmart 17 years ago in a telesales role, Helen followed her strengths and moved into the world of finance. From there, she’s excelled in taking ownership of our finance team alongside the wider business support functions, quickly becoming an integral member of our management team.

As Simon, Chief Webmarteer says, “It has been a pleasure to work with Helen over the years and our unique philosophy of wrapping the role around the person, rather than forcing a person into a role, has allowed Helen to be on a career journey from starting at Webmart in Telesales to her current role, to the benefit of all!”
