Webmart’s MD, Richard Boon, has recently featured in the Oxford Mail.

Published just shy of Rich’s one-year anniversary as managing director, the article covers his unique career at Webmart.

Rich talks about meeting our chief Webmarteer Bilty through a Dragon’s Den-style event. Soon after, he decided to join Webmart as an apprentice aged 17, rather than follow the university route that many of his peers chose.

He talks about some of the important things he’s learned along the way during his career, and how these have helped guide him in his role as MD.

Rich also offers advice to any young person unsure of how their career should look and whether university is the right direction for them, saying: “Don’t fall for the peer pressure to do the same thing as everybody else, there’s always opportunities to learn and get your education in the future.

“If you’ve got an opportunity to do some work experience, try out things to see what really fits with you.”
