Pavers among the first brands in the UK to go climate positive with their postage
(August 2021) Pavers, the shoe retailer based in York, is among the first brands in the UK to adopt climate positive postage through Enviromail.
This means that the carbon footprint generated by the distribution of Pavers’ mail campaigns is twice offset through several accredited schemes, making their campaigns climate positive.
The provider behind Pavers’ climate positive postage is Enviromail, which launched in July and is the first of its kind in the world.
Founded by print marketing agency Webmart, Enviromail’s double certified calculator is used to calculate the carbon generated from the distribution of mail campaigns. Enviromail then offsets this amount, twice, on behalf of their customers for free.
Pavers’ postage through Enviromail will be supporting initiatives globally, including native bamboo afforestation in Nicaragua, economy-stimulating wind energy in India and providing communities in Rwanda with clean cookstoves.
This is another big step this year for Pavers’ environmentalism. Earlier in 2021, the company became the first major shoe retailer in the UK to both become Carbon Neutral International certified and be participating in the UN’s Climate Now Initiative.
The retailer also recently celebrated donating a total of £1 million to community projects and charitable causes under the Pavers Foundation, which launched in 2018.
