A quick summary
Bethesda, a leading publisher of videogames, needed a partner to deliver creative, print management and logistical services for their latest product release.
By combining all stages of the campaign, we were able to provide a flexible supply to meet shortened deadlines while reducing costs. At every stage from brief to delivery, we ensured the campaign was brand-compliant, cost-effective and delivered to schedule.
Bethesda was looking for a partner to work hand-in-hand, to help source, manage and deliver printed retail display and point of sale (POS) to UK and European retail outlets. The team at Bethesda were planning the launch of their latest videogame title and needed a partner to be involved from the very beginning, not only as a print partner, but to also:

Help streamline manufacturing to maximise cost-effectiveness
Create print-ready artwork packages that were localised across territories
Maintain brand consistency across all formats
Manage pack collations and dispatch across European territories.
How we achieved it
We operated as the principal creative, production and distribution partner, delivering in a number of key areas:
Setting the brief
By being involved from the very initial stages of the campaign we were able to identify opportunities to make production as efficient as possible, saving time and money.
Producing concepts and mockups
To help bring our ideas to life, we produced a suite of Point of Sale concepts. In addition to providing ideas for ‘regular’ items such as cubes, posters and wobblers, we supplied bespoke standees, window takeovers and shelf decoration. In line with the brief, all our concepts could be adapted for European territories by switching logos and translating text.
To make visualisation easier, we also provided the client with a range of digital mock-ups showing Point of Sale in situ, ensuring a smooth amends and approval process.
By breaking down costs, standardising materials and consolidating jobs across product types and territories we were able to make considerable cost savings and allowing the budget to expand the campaign within the initial budget.
Production & Branding
Although production spanned two Bank Holidays and was brought forward by one week, we were still able to deliver within these demanding constraints. Our flexible tier-one suppliers allowed us to deliver the highest quality products with gloss UV finish and 4 colour printing on all visible surfaces.
Retail & Logistics
UK Supermarkets have complex guidelines and requirements for Point of Sale. We managed the process of compliance which included pre-assembling and filling a number of Floor-Standing Display Units (FSDUs) and producing dummy game units with store-specific inserts.
