A quick summary

Hachette, a leading UK publishing group, reached out to Webmart about a book they were publishing that would raise funds for the children’s charity Barnardo’s. 

Barnardo’s wanted to further support the book by selling it in their stores, so Hachette needed our help creating a point of sale solution for them.

The Challenge

The POS solution ideally needed to work on a counter and hold 8 copies of the book, but not take up too much space.

They were also looking for a well-made and robust solution that Barnardo’s could keep in stores for a long time, without the large price tag.

How we achieved it

Based on their brief, Webmart’s POS specialists talked Hachette through the options available and mocked up a range of concepts for them to look at. These options included on counters, on shelf and on the floor solutions.

Once Hachette decided on their preferred option, our specialists engineered a white prototype to ensure that dimensions were correct and to see how it looked with and without a step.

Hachette then sent across the assets, which our specialists dropped into the cutter guide ready for a quick turnaround on the project.

The results

We had each unit packed individually with assembly instructions and posters and delivered these to Barnardo’s, ready for distribution to their 400+ stores.

From brief to delivery, Webmart turned around the POS in 3 weeks.
