A quick summary
Moonpig contacted us at the start of the pandemic with an urgent need to increase production capacity following huge growth. In order to meet soaring customer demand, we had to identify, setup and scale a UK based digital print and mail supply chain in under 2 weeks
In a very short space of time, we assessed the UK marketplace and our extensive UK supply chain to identify possible partners for Moonpig. This included financial analysis, sampling, security assessments, technology infrastructure and more.
How we achieved it
Having identified a partner and agreed commercials between all parties, we worked with the print partner and Moonpig to ensure seamless automated order processing between factories and load balancing production based on factory capacity. This then quickly scaled to up to 165,000 personalised cards per day across varying formats being produced and mailed with total accuracy on the same day. We worked with Royal Mail, Moonpig and the print partner to agree later collection times from Royal Mail, allowing Moonpig to offer an unrivalled next day card service to UK customers
We were able to provide Moonpig with a seamless continuation of service in a short space of time. Their customer demand was met without any interruption or delay to their orders and their high quality of production was met with one of our UK-based suppliers.
