Webmart Release Latest Gender Pay Gap Report
At Webmart, transparency and accountability are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re proud to share our latest Gender Pay Gap Report. While we’re not legally required to publish this data—only UK companies with 250 or more employees are—we’ve chosen to take this step because it aligns with our vision and values.
Last year, only 29 companies in the UK voluntarily reported their gender pay gap without being mandated. Webmart is one of them, and we believe it’s an important step towards creating a fair and inclusive workplace.
What’s the Difference Between Pay Gaps and Equal Pay?
It’s important to clarify the distinction:
Pay Gaps: Highlight the difference between the average pay of one group (e.g. men) and another (e.g. women), across all roles and levels within an organisation. Pay gaps often reflect workforce composition, including job types, levels of seniority, and representation.
Equal Pay: Ensures that individuals are paid the same for doing the same or similar work, or work of equal value, regardless of characteristics such as gender.
Why Publish a Gender Pay Gap Report?
Pay gaps don’t necessarily mean unequal pay, but they do shine a light on areas where organisations can improve. By publishing our data, we’re holding ourselves accountable and committing to progress. This report uses the standardised method for calculating pay gaps, ensuring consistency and transparency.
We’re taking this step not because we have to, but because it’s the right thing to do—and we hope it inspires others to join us in driving positive change.
