Webmart Re-Certifies as a B Corp with a 50% Higher Score

Webmart has recertified as a B Corp marketing agency with a new score 50% higher than our previous score

2025 is already shaping up to be an exciting year for the marketing industry. From AI platforms popping up everywhere, to social media algorithm shifts and Royal Mail service updates, change is coming fast.

Here at Webmart, we don’t just keep pace with change, we stay ahead of it. And this year, we’ve hit some major milestones:

  • We’ve donated over £1 million to charitable causes
  • We’ve won multiple awards for our clients and our incredible Webmarteers
  • And best of all, we’ve been re-certified as a B Corporation – boosting our original score by a massive 50%!

As a B Corp marketing agency, we’re proud to lead the way in sustainable business practices while delivering exceptional marketing results.

What is a B Corp?

Certified by B Lab, the B Corp movement inspires businesses to balance profit with purpose. To achieve certification, companies must meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

B Corps are scored out of 200 across five key areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers. To qualify, a business needs at least 80 points. For context, the average business completing the B Impact Assessment scores just 50.9, so certification is no mean feat.

When did Webmart become a B Corp?

Long before certification, Webmart was committed to doing good through business. Becoming a B Corp in 2021 formalised what we were already practising as a sustainable marketing agency.

Back then, we scored 80.9 points, making us one of the UK’s early adopters of the B Corp movement. But that was just the beginning of our journey.

Our B Corp journey so far

Since 2021, we’ve worked tirelessly to make a positive impact in every way possible:

  • Adopting B Corp Articles of Association – legally committing to consider people, planet, and profit in all decisions
  • Increasing financial transparency for our teams
  • Publishing Impact Reports alongside our accounts
  • Strengthening internal policies and employee benefits
  • Launching Wellbeing and Charity Committees
  • Building long-term charity partnerships
  • Publishing gender pay gap reports
  • Expanding use of FSC® and PEFC-certified materials and carbon offsetting projects
  • Formalising Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon reporting
  • Further investing in our rewilding project, The Oxygen Farm

Our 2024 B Corp recertification score

All that hard work paid off. In our latest assessment, we increased our score by 50%, achieving an impressive 121.1 points. Here’s the breakdown:

  • Governance: 11.4 → 22 (+93%)
  • Workers: 37.3 → 38 (+2%)
  • Community: 16.4 → 24 (+46%)
  • Environment: 11.2 → 32.3 (+188%)
  • Customers: 4.5 → 4.6 (+2%)

We’re especially proud of our environmental progress – a near tripling of our score in that category! And if that wasn’t enough, we also reached a huge milestone this year: donating over £1 million to charitable causes. Through our Community and Charitable Pot – funded by interest and rental income – we’ve supported projects that make a real difference.

What our CEO says

I couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come or more excited about where we are heading next! We continue to challenge ourselves to do even better for our people, our partners and the planet. Watch this yellow space, we are just getting started!
